Panoptiwork - The Human and the Digital at Work
Panoptiwork is a network of researchers at the University of Groningen working on labour and digitalisation. Its overall aim is to promote interdisciplinary research on the impact of digital technologies on work. It aims to explore questions about the organization of work, working conditions, power relations, ethics of business and legal protection, by bringing together researchers and students from a wide variety of disciplinary backgrounds.
Panoptiwork covers 7 faculties at the University of Groningen (Arts, Behavioural and Social Sciences, Economics and Business, Law, Philosophy, Science and Engineering, Spatial Sciences) and involves over 20 researchers. It employs two student assistants.
The activities promoted by Panoptiwork include: research meetings. blogpost series from students, talk series, interfaculty thesis supervision of Bachelor and Master students, an international conference and an issue on the Italian Labour Law e-Journal (2/2024), with contributions of the involved researchers.
