Law students from University of Strathmore visit Groningen
A group of law students from the University of Strathmore Law School (Kenya) visited the Faculty of Law on April 21st, as part of a 10 day trip to various international legal institutions in Europe and elsewhere.
Their trip will take them through the Netherlands, Italy, and Dubai. The 75 (soon to be graduating) LLB students were given a short tour of the University and a lecture discussing Public International Law by Prof. Panos Merkouris, as well as a lunch reception in the Academie building.
Among the Strathmore staff overseeing the students on their excursion was Faculty of Law alumnus Allan Mukuki (Public International Law LLM), who as a student represented Groningen, and was one of the top speakers, at the prestigious Telders International Law Moot Court Competition.
The Faculty hopes both Strathmore students and staff enjoyed the short visit and appreciate them taking the time to visit us here in Groningen. The Faculty is looking forward to welcoming a second group of 80 students from Strathmore that will visit Groningen in May.
