Brigit Toebes participant in Aletta Jacobs School of Public Health
On 15 March the Aletta Jacobs School of Public Health will be officially launched . One of the participants is Prof. Brigit Toebes, Associate Professor and Rosalind Franklin Fellow in health law at the Faculty of Law.
She will give a pitch entitled 'Health inequalities: a matter of social justice' in which she will talk about health inequalities. Health inequalities are widespread in Europe and also in the Groningen region and may form the greatest public health threat. Toebes will talk about the role of law and human rights law in particular to address these challenges.
The School offers a multidisciplinary platform for collaboration between scholars from RUG and UMCG. Some collaborations have already started, for example in a recent Call for papers in the journal BMC International Health and Human Rights.
