Conference 'Powering the offshore grid: legal and technical solutions', 26 June 2015, Amsterdam
The Groningen Centre of Energy Law organises, jointly with the Delft University of Technology and the Dutch Scientific Organisation (NWO), a conference on the development of a transnational electricity offshore grid in the North Sea. This conference builds on the findings of a joint research project, which has been undertaken by both Universities.
The aim of the conference is to discuss the legal and techno-economic issues and steps that are needed to realise the offshore grid. To this end, we bring together relevant stakeholders from national governments, academia, transmission system operators, regulatory authorities, wind farm developers as well as representatives of the European Commission and of initiatives such as NSCOGI. During this conference, we want to develop a clear vision on what is needed to enable the offshore grid.
