Dimitry Kochenov participates in expert meeting on EU citizenship

26 March 2012

Prof. Dr. Dimitry Kochenov (Chair in EU Constitutional Law) has been invited to participate in the meeting of experts on the future of EU citizenship by the Unit on Citizenship and Free Movement of DG Justice of the European Commission.

Prof. Kochenov will be joining a group of ten legal experts from all over the Union to help the Commission identify the key outstanding issues to be addressed for the successful development of EU citizenship in preparation of its forthcoming citizenship report. Besides being a remarkable honour, this is a real chance for a senior member of our staff to participate in the thinking behind the re-framing of the fundamental legal status of half a billion Europeans.
