Invitation to the second Ulrik Huber Lecture of 2018 on the development of global private international law and international arbitration law.
We are honoured that Professor Dr. Andreas Schwartze will deliver the lecture entitled: The EU Succession Regulation and Third States
Professor Dr. Andreas Schwartze LL.M. is University Professor of European Private Law, Comparative Private Law and International Private Law at the University of Innsbruck (Austria). He holds a LLM (University of Hannover, 1982), LL.M. (European University Institute Florence, 1990), PhD (Summa Cum Laude, University of Hannover, 1990), and defended his Habilitationsschrift at the same university in 1997. Since 2002 professor Schwartze is a full professor at the University of Innsbruck. He is an associate member of the International Academy of Comparative Law (Académie international de droit comparé) and a member of various German, Austrian and European institutes and organisations.
His current areas of research are Austrian, German, and European private- and business law and civil procedure, comparative law and conflicts of laws, economic theory of law - particularly in the area of contract law, credit security and consumer law.
Professor Schwartze contributed to numerous handbooks on the afore mentioned topics in German and English and authored hundreds of articles.
