Dr. T. Nowak
Tobias Nowak studied political science, sociology and public law at the University of Tübingen, Germany, and spent some time as an Erasmus exchange student in Groningen . He returned to Groningen after his graduation in 2000. At the Department of Legal Theory he gives the course Politics and Government in the EU. Together with colleagues he provides the Seminar International Relations, the Interdisciplinary Research Colloquium and the courses Decision making in the EU and Introduction to Political Science. At the Institute of Social Sciences at the University of Oldenburg, Germany, he gave the lecture Introduction to Political Science (Einführung in die Politikwissenschaft). He supervises theses on European Union politics/law and international relations/law . In his research he focuses on the interaction between politics and law in the European Union. In addition, he is doing a research project financed by the Hague Institute for the Internationalisation of Law on how national private law judges perceive European Union law. He is also a fellow at the Centre for Law, Administration and Society, the research institute of the Faculty of Law of the University of Groningen and a research fellow at the Hague Institute for the Internationalisation of Law.
