Prof. Dr. H.B. Krans
Professor Krans is professor of private law, in particular civil procedure law. He is specialised in civil procedural law, contract law and tort law. Professor Krans studied Dutch law and tax law at the University of Leiden and he obtained his doctoral degree at the University of Leiden. Professor Krans was employed as a lawyer for the law firm Pels Rijcken & Droogleever Fortuijn in The Hague and as senior lecturer at the University of Groningen. Professor Krans is a member of the editorial board of the Dutch Journal for Civil Law (in Dutch: Nederlands Tijdschrift voor Burgerlijk Recht, NTBR), a member of the editorial board of a Dutch journal for civil procedure law (in Dutch: Tijdschrift voor Civiele Rechtspleging, TCR) and a member of the International Association of Procedural Law. In addition, professor Krans is the permanent annotator for Ars Aequi, for judgments in relation to civil procedural law. Furthermore, professor Krans is a deputy judge at the court of Appeal in Arnhem.
