Digital Kick-off meeting Network Religious Heritage
When: | Th 17-09-2020 12:00 - 13:15 |
Where: | Digital |
What should we do with empty churches? How do you make religious stories, traditions, and objects accessible for a wider audience in a mostly secular society? These are not just relevant questions for historians and theologians, but also for teachers, architects and policy makers.
The Network Religious Heritage consists of universities and heritage organizations that aim to connect academics, churches, museums, secular church organizations and governmental institutions, all of which are invested in the societal value and meaning of religious heritage. To this end, we want to organize workshops, internships, and a summer school for all those parties throughout the Netherlands regarding education, practice and research.
During this fi rst meeting, researchers, policy makers, students and heritage professionals will shine a light on the meaning of religious heritage. We will present research and demonstrate the diversity of religious heritage. Additionally, we will give a preview of the interesting workshops that are coming up in the next six months.
