Import course schedule in Google Calendar
Step 1
Select the modules in the Schedule Generator and generate your schedule
Step 2
Download the file by right-click on 'Ical' (upper hand) and choose 'Save link as'
Step 3
Copy the URL that arose after the schedule was generated by a right-click on Ical and choose "copy link address"
Step 4
Go to Google Calendar and choose Other Calendars (under, on the left)
Step 5 There are 2 choices now:
Option A: Add by URL (the copied URL that was under the Ical button)
Option B: Agenda import (stored Ical file)
Option A shows the courses and exams in one calendar view, but makes no appointments. However, the display is dynamic: if there is a change in scheduling, it also changes in one's agenda.
Option B makes the lectures and exams appointments. Someone else can not plan an appointment at these hours. However, the display is static: a change in the schedule will not be automatically reflected.
It is possible to carry out both options. The lectures are then double in the agenda, clearly distinct from each other. Does anything change, option A then shows the changes and option B doesn't.
