New 'Lean Library' tool in Edge, the library in your browser
Lean library added to Edge
A new tool called Lean Library is available for UMCG employees in your browser when you start Edge. Don't worry if a notification appears on your screen. You will receive this notification so that you automatically have access to the digital collection and services of the Central Medical Library. Everyone who works at the UMCG is entitled to this access.
What is Lean Library?
With Lean Library you get access to a wide range of scientific literature, journals, newspapers and other sources, and not just in the medical field. For example, if you search for a book or journal article on the internet on your work computer in Edge, you will receive a notification with a link if the publication is available via the library. Lean Library helps you in various ways to make optimal use of the collection. And if we do not have access to a publication, it is possible to request it from other libraries via Lean Library.
Want to know more?
If you want to know exactly what you can do once the new tool is installed, consult the accompanying manual for more information:
Lean Library: the library in your browser (manual)
We hope Lean Library helps you explore different areas of interest and find valuable information. So if you get the Lean Library message when you start Edge, you do not have to do anything. From that moment on, Lean Library automatically helps you with access to the digital collection. For help and support, please contact Guus van den Brekel (16194, a.j.p.van.den.brekel umcg.nl) or Robin Ottjes (16191, r.f.ottjes umcg.nl) of the CMB.
