New Dean: Jan-Willem Romeijn

25 March 2021

As from 1 April, Jan-Willem Romeijn, professor of philosophy of science at our faculty, is our new dean. He succeeds Lodi Nauta, dean since 2013.

An internationally recognized expert in the philosophy of statistics, he is, among other things, a Vidi laureate and co-coordinator of the NWO Gravitation Programme SCOOP. Next to being a dean, Jan-Willem will continue to put his extensive knowledge of the philosophy of science to good use in the faculty's teaching and research.

The faculty warmly congratulates Jan-Willem on his appointment and wishes him all the best in his new role.
