New accommodation platform for international students
From July 2017, international students will have access to a new website with information in English about student accommodation in the city of Groningen: At Home in Groningen .
The website has all the info a foreign student will need about finding somewhere to live, from prices, contracts and rules to information about different neighbourhoods as well as legal assistance. The site also has maps and photos, and in future will offer the opportunity to suitable and reliable private landlords to advertise their rooms on the website. This range will be expanded in 2017/2018.
Welcome to the 'city of talent'
The new platform is the result of a collaboration between the Municipality of Groningen, the Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen and the UG. The project group started its work in November 2016. Counteracting the fragmentation of information and improving the quality of the accommodation on offer, the platform warmly welcomes international students to ‘the city of talent’.
