On behalf of the University of Groningen, member of the Board of the University Jan de Jeu signed an agreement with Hanze University and SSH on Wednesday 17 September, on the guaranteed rental of furnished student quarters for international students. ‘I am very pleased with this arrangement. We needed to take new strides in housing international students, in particular in light of the expected major growth in numbers of international students in Groningen. The University is pleased that the student housing organization SSH is on board. Together with Hanze University, we are attempting to provide better housing for our international guests.’

International student housing

Every year, some 2200 international students come to Groningen to study at the University of Groningen and Hanze University of Applied Sciences. They live at fourteen different locations, spread across the city. From 1 November 2014, students will be able to use the SSH website.
