Thursday night 15 May, 10,000 students and staff members celebrated the 400th anniversary of the University of Groningen at the largest student gala ever to be held in the Netherlands. It was a great night with acts such as Groove Department, Izaline Calister and the Stageband, FeestDJRuud (spontaneously joined by rapper Kraantje Pappie) and many others.
The theme Myster¿a - expect the unexpected - was represented in the many acts, the atmosphere and stage setting, the trapeze act, the fairy-like dresses of the stilt walkers, and the magicians.
A festive night and a magnificent start to the RUG400 festivities.
