Michel Vols: Housing law solutions to 'neighbours from hell'

All over the world, housing providers are faced with tenants who cause noise nuisance and harassment or who are involved in drug crime. The main approach of these problems can be characterized as ‘eviction-oriented’: the perpetrator and his family are compelled to leave their home when the situation finally has become unbearable for the residents. Combatting anti-social behaviour at an early stage, without making a perpetrator homeless is another, probably more effective approach, according to Michel Vols on Innovating Justice.
