University of Groningen has climbed in the Top 100 of Taiwan Ranking
This year, the University of Groningen has further improved its position in the Top 100 of the Taiwan Performance Ranking of Scientific Papers for World Universities. We are now in 90th place on the global ranking list, as opposed to number 96 last year. Sibrand Poppema, President of the Board of the University, expects that the University of Groningen will be able to continue on its chosen course and climb even further up the Taiwan Ranking next year.
Taiwan Ranking
The Taiwan Ranking is annually published by the Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation Council of Taiwan (HEEACT) and consists of a Top 500 of universities worldwide. The ranking specifically focuses on current research, assessing universities’ scientific paper performance based on three criteria: research productivity (accounting for 20% of the score), research impact (30%) and research excellence (50%).
