Neuroendocrine tumors are a heterogeneous group of rare tumors, which arise from cells of the (neuro)endocrine system and are able to produce hormones. The aim of this thesis was to address the diagnosis and management of patients with neuroendocrine tumors, focusing on carcinoid tumors, islet cell tumors and pheochromocytoma.
