Desired and undesired effects of antipsychotic treatment from a patients' perspective: The psychometric evaluation of a self-rating instrument

For patients with psychotic vulnerability, medication non-adherence increases the risk for a new psychotic episode and hospital re-admission. The thesis describes the development of the Subjects' Response to Antipsychotics (SRA) questionnaire, an instrument for measuring the patient experience with antipsychotic medication properly and systematically. The SRA questionnaire is a tool to measure in a systematic way treatment effects of antipsychotic drugs from a patients' perspective, to adjust the treatment as well possible as to the patient and to improve quality of care.
