Interactive workshop: Plan the impact of your research project
When: |
Th 26-01-2023 15:00 - 16:30 |
Where: |
Room 18 Onderwijscentrum UMCG (S2.111) |
In this 90 minute, interactive workshop, participants will learn how to make a plan to increase the societal impact of their research projects. Participants will make a 'pathway to impact', much in the same method that is used in both EU Horizon and NWO funding. In this method, researchers will bridge the gap between academic output and societal impact by bringing about change with identified stakeholders. Failing to plan is planning to fail. The societal impact is the positive effect that your research has on society. Planning for impact is important, whether you are writing a research proposal, are at the beginning of your research career, or are trying to develop a more strategic approach to societal impact for you and your team.
You will develop a better understanding of which steps you need to take for your academic output to lead to impact. Which stakeholders are relevant for your research line? Which outcomes do you want to see coming about? And what indicators are you going to use to see whether you are on the right track?
This workshop is part of the Open Science Programme of UG and UMCG.
