Route descriptions

1. Route from the Antonius Deusinglaan 1
   
   1. Enter the Anda Kerkhoven Centre
   2. Turn right immediately after the reception
   3. Walk down the wide stairs to the basement
   4. Enter the Medical Library through the sliding doors on your left

2. Route from the Central Medical Complex UMCG

   • Go to 'De Brug' (The Bridge). This is possible from all floors, but note: there is only one connection to the faculty buildings and that is on the 2nd floor

   • To get to building 3211, walk the long corridor 'straight ahead' until you reach the hall on the 2nd floor of building 3211 (the building number is indicated)

   • Then take the stairs or the elevator to the basement.

This location is only accessible to AIOs, PhDs and physicians with an authorized UMCG card. The user's department head must have requested access.

This location is open 24/7!

• Route from the main entrance UMCG (Hanzeplein 1)

  1. From the main hall walk to the right, past the flowerstall and supermarket; this is the Poortweg

  2. Follow the Poortweg for about 150 metres

  3. At Poortweg 12 take the stairs/elevator to the 4th floor

  4. Follow signs ‘Centr. Med. Bibliotheek’

• Route from from the entrance Antonius Deusinglaan 1
  
  1. Take the stairs to the 2nd floor
  2. Turn right into the hallway, walk through the gray swing door (a few meters left, and then right) into the corridor, keep walking in the same direction towards the Bridge (de Brug)
  3. Walk along the Bridge until you reach the UMCG part (carpet)
  4. Take the stairs to the 4th floor
  5. After the bridge, take the first left
  6. Then the first right (before the lifts)
  7. Continue walking until you reach the entrance of the library to your left (Y4.206)
