Does being a University Library member give me access to digital files?
No, the digital collection is only accessible to University of Groningen staff and students. You can, however, use the computers in the University Library to consult the digital collection. See: Non-UG visitors.

I am a retired member of staff; do I still have access to the digital collection?
All staff members due to retire will receive an email before they stop working stating that their account will be closed. Would you like to retain access to the digital collection? Renew your account annually. More information: Former staff

How can I log in to Kluwer InView Essential?
- Go to InView Essential
- At the top right of the screen, click on Inloggen
- Choose 'Student/Medewerker - Log in met je WO / HBO account’
- Select ‘Rijksuniversiteit Groningen’ as the institution (instelling)
- Login with your S- or P-nummer

Searching for digital content in SmartCat for users with a gastvrijheid proxy account
Proxy account SPO, AOG, Hanzehogeschool, NHL-Stenden, NIOZ, Polyvation, Alliade en Fryske Akademie
If you have received a proxy-account from the University, you can use this account to access the digital collections of the University Library.
Donot use the proxy-account to log-in to SmartCat.
When you click on a link to a database or a (digital)publication that requires authentication (either in SmartCat or on the library website) you will be redirected to a login screen. Select 'Log-in for other users' and enter the username and password of your proxy-account to gain access to the resource.
