Check for electronic availability RUG (SmartCat)

You can check electronic availability of a publication in SmartCat . Please check if a publication is actually available by clicking until you see the full text of the publication on your screen.

An article:

• Search SmartCat for the article.
• Check if you have access to the full-text by actually viewing the article.
• Now look on the webpage or the opened PDF for a permanent link. See: How to create a reliable link .
• Visit the SmartCat Library Guide for more information on article search in SmartCat.

A chapter/part of a book:

• Search SmartCat for the book.
• Check if you have access to the full-text by actually viewing the e-book.
• You will now go to the platform offering the book. The outlook varies per platform, as well as how to get to the chapter/part concerned. Search until you have the chapter/part actually showing on your screen.
• Now look on the webpage or the opened PDF for a permanent link. See: How to create a reliable link .
• If the chapter/part is electronically available, ask the library (copyright rug.nl) if the electronic version of the chapter/part is suitable for use in education (due to multiple simultaneous users) .
