Dr. ds. Pieter Jacobus Barnouw (1919-2010-). He studied theology at the university of Groningen and was assistant to Prof. van der Leeuw for a short time. In 1963 he obtained his doctorate with a dissertation on Philippus van Limborch. From 1945, he served as a liberal preacher until 1972.
