Pre-Master's programmes Faculty of Arts
Do you want to follow a Master’s degree programme at the Faculty of Arts but your university of applied sciences or university Bachelor’s degree doesn’t satisfy the entry requirements? In a number of cases, you can then follow a Pre-Master’s programme of six months to a year to bring your knowledge and skills to the required level. The Admissions Board of your desired Master’s degree programme will decide on whether this is possible for you.
Accepted for a Pre-Master’s programme at the Faculty of Arts
Has the Admission’s Board decided that you can be accepted for a Pre-Master's at the Faculty of Arts? Then you will find some more (practical) information below.
If you have been accepted to a Pre-Master's by the Admissions Board, you have certain deficiencies in your academic background and cannot enter a Master's directly. This Pre-Master's is an individually designed programme to help you enter the specific Master's programme mentioned in your letter of admission.

With a non-Dutch diploma
All requests for admission are handled by our Admission’s Office
For applicants with a non-Dutch diploma, it is not possible to apply for the Pre-Master's programmes directly. You have to apply for a regular Master's programme at the Faculty of Arts. If your credentials and educational background are insufficient for direct admission into the Master's programme, the Admissions Office will check your application in order to determine whether a Pre-Master's programme can be offered.

English language requirements
All programmes require you to show that you possess our minimum language requirement. This can differ per programme, so please visit the website of the Master's you are interested in for the programme specific requirements.
All documents other than IELTS, TOEFL or Cambridge certificates need to be assessed by the Admissions board and do not automatically permit access.
How to apply
The Pre-Master's programmes start in September (and/or February). After you have been informed about the Pre-Master's course schedule by the Admissions Board or study adviser, you follow the last steps for further enrollment:
