Student for a Day

Are you considering doing the History Bachelor at our University? Or do you want to be prepared to the fullest before you get started with this programme? Then, ‘Student for a Day’ is just the thing for you! You will definitely gain more insight into what the programme will bring. There is no better way to prepare.

During the Student for a Day:

• You will attend a lecture with current first year History students
• You will meet the student ambassadors and the study association GHD Ubbo Emmius.
• You will get the chance to discuss the degree programme with current students and staff members
• You will participate during a seminar
• You will get a tour of the main buildings
• And there will be enough time for all your questions

The orientation day is organized once a year in English. The upcoming Student for a Day (in English) will be on Tuesday 15th April. (If you would like to be present during Een Dag Student in Dutch please click on the Dutch Flag icon on top of this webpage).

•   9.30 AM        Opening, word of welcome in 1312.0018 (in the Harmonie building)

• 9.35 AM        Short presentation BA History

• 10 AM            Lecture Modern History in the Geertsemazaal (in the Academy building)

• 11 AM            Introduction study association GHD Ubbo Emmius in 1313.0309 (in the Harmonie building)

• 11.15 AM      Tour by GHD Ubbo Emmius

• 12 PM           Lunch with current BA students and staff members in the Weberfoyer (in the Harmonie building)

• 1 PM              Seminar in A12 (in the Academy building)

• 2.30 PM        Q&A with student ambassador and study advisers in the Exposition room (in the Harmonie building)

• 3 PM              End of the day
