Student for a Day

Are you considering doing the History Bachelor at our University? Or do you want to be prepared to the fullest before you get started with this programme? Then, ‘Student for a Day’ is just the thing for you! You will definitely gain more insight into what the programme will bring. There is no better way to prepare.

During the Student for a Day:

• You will attend a lecture with current first year History students
• You will meet the student ambassadors and the study association GHD Ubbo Emmius.
• You will get the chance to discuss the degree programme with current students and staff members
• You will participate during a seminar
• You will get a tour of the main buildings
• And there will be enough time for all your questions

The orientation day is organized once a year in English. The upcoming Student for a Day (in English) will be on Tuesday 3rd December . (If you would like to be present during Een Dag Student in Dutch please click on the Dutch Flag icon on top of this webpage).

Programme Student for a Day Tuesday 3rd December 

• 12 PM          Opening, word of welcome in de Marie Loke room ( in the Harmonie building )

• 12.05PM       Short presentation BA History

• 12.15PM       Introduction study association GHD Ubbo Emmius

• 12.30PM       Lunch with current BA students and staff members Weberfoyer ( in the Harmonie building )

• 1.15PM         Seminar in room 1312.0030 ( in the Harmonie building )

• 2.30PM         Tour by GHD Ubbo Emmius

• 3PM               Lecture in the Zernike room ( in the Academy building )

• 4PM              Q&A with student ambassador and study advisors in room 1312.0030 ( in the Harmonie building )

• 4.30PM         End of the day
