The Faculty of Arts creates positive social and scientific impact by providing relevant and high-quality research and education.

At the Faculty of Arts, our research generates knowledge about the multitude of cultural forms with which we give expression and meaning to our humanity, now and in the past: language, art & culture, historiography, media and social, political and material constructions.

Through our education we stimulate critical thinking, pass on knowledge and thus make an essential contribution to a democratic, open society.
