Magazines

The research results produced by the Foster Care Research Centre Groningen are interesting for both researchers and practitioners. To enhance knowledge exchange and dialogue between research and practice, we publish Dutch research magazines. These are freely available for everyone who is interested.

Project Iris

The results of Project Iris are outlined in the Dutch magazine "Het schip niet willen laten stranden". This study centered the stories of families fostering a victim of sexual abuse. With real-life example we illustrate the struggles of foster parents, their biological children, and foster children, as well as their victories and support needs.

Project BOP

In this magazine, the results of Project BOP are outlined. The aim of Project BOP is to describe the psychosocial needs of foster children and what the impact is of their past, specifically a history of sexual abuse, on these needs. Which groups of youth can be distinguished based on their needs? What is the impact of sexual abuse on these needs? When and why do youth talk about their past? And what are the best memories youth have about foster care?
