Prof. Vakis, Prof. Jayawardhana and Prof. Avraamidou partners in TCNN project
Prof. Antonis Vakis and Prof. Bayu Jayawardhana from the Engineering and Technology Institute Groningen ( ENTEG ) and Prof. Lucy Avraamidou from the Institute for Science Education and Communication ( ISEC ) are partners in a funded project coordinated by TCNN for the establishment of the ‘Offshore Wind Innovation Centre: Transition to a bundled innovation ecosystem for the wind industry’, in the Eemshaven. The project brings together nineteen partners who will collaborate in developing innovative solutions, products and services for operations, and maintenance applications in the offshore wind industry. The total budget of the project is almost EUR 2.7 million. The UG team receives EUR 221,000.
Prof. Vakis is leading the UG team, which is responsible for the development of digital twins for use in predictive maintenance for offshore wind as well the design and implementation of professional training, educational activities, and school-curricular.
