Prof. Avraamidou partner in EU-Horizon 2020 project
Prof. Lucy Avraamidou of the Institute for Science Education and Communication ( ISEC ) is partner in a recently funded EU-Horizon 2020 project titled ‘Outdoor Science Education for a Sustainable Future (OTTER)’. The project is coordinated by Geonardo Environmental Technologies in Hungary and it brings together partners from Spain, Ireland, Finland and the Netherlands. The aim of the project is to improve understanding and accreditation of science learning that takes place outside of the formal educational system and to enhance young people’s interest in STEM studies and careers. Prof. Avraamidou is responsible for the educational research component of the project. The total budget is EUR 1.6 million and the UG’s team share is EUR 280,000.
