PhD Supervisor of the Year Award 2021 voor prof. dr. Avraamidou

Prof. dr. Lucy Avraamidou van het Institute for Science Education and Communication (ISEC) heeft de PhD Supervisor of the Year Award 2021 toegekend gekregen. Vanaf 2018 reikt de GSSE PhD Council, in samenwerking met de klankbordgroep, jaarlijks de PhD Supervisor of the Year Award uit binnen de   Faculty of Science and Engineering.

De winnaar is bekend gemaakt tijdens de online facultaire opening van het academisch jaar op maandag 6 september. Volgens haar studenten is Lucy Avraamidou zeer benaderbaar, geeft ze constructieve feedback met een positieve toon en checkt ze ook hun mentale gezondheid. Naast prof. dr. Lucy Avraamidou bestond de top vier genomineerden uit prof. dr. Gerard Roelfes – Stratingh Institute, prof. dr. Beatriz Noheda – ZIAM and dr. Jelmer Borst – Bernoulli Institute.

Binnenkort komt er een foto van Avraamidou in de PhD Supervisor’s hall of fame in de Faculty Room in de Bernoulliborg. Daar hangen ook de foto’s van de eerdere winnaars prof. dr. Filippo Fraternali, prof. dr. Jan Anton Koster en prof. dr. Reinoud Gosens.
