The Faculty of Science and Engineering has been awarded a new dedicated Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC) programme on Smart Energy System in collaboration with North China Electric Power University ( NCEPU ). This programme was granted out of several hundreds of applications.
In the coming three years (2020-2022) the programme will have:
- 9 PhD degree students (3 per year)
- 9 visiting NCEPU PhD students to UG (3 per year)
- 6 visiting NCEPU young researchers to UG (2 per year)
The
Chinese Scholarship Council
is the Chinese national institution for Government Scholarships. CSC guarantees this dedicated funding for this programme for selected students or scholars. Researchers from both NCEPU and UG will jointly select the right candidates on the basis of mutual interests. As agreed priorities will firstly focus on students with a background in electrical engineering, applied mathematics, control science and computing science, etc. There will be two application rounds each year.
NCEPU
excels at energy-related education and research and has a prominent position in the Chinese energy sector. FSE/UG signed the relevant agreements in July 2019.
