The Centre for Learning and Teaching at the Faculty of Science and Engineering organised the symposium: The Role of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Education in a Changing World on February 20, 2024.
The symposium promised a professional development experience that advances university STEM education reform and addressed current global challenges by providing a platform for diverse perspectives and research at the RUG.
The symposium offered an opportunity to disseminate curricular innovations and STEM education research projects, build community, co-learn, and form partnerships both in and outside of the university to transform STEM education.
The symposium included contributions from RUG researchers, instructors and students as well as companies, museums, and freelancers in different formats: panel discussions, talks, workshops, science cafes, and poster presentations.
There were over 80 people in attendance and the event itself was a huge success!
During the symposium, there was a live podcast hosted by students.
