Knowledge Network on Population Decline (KKNN) continued for 4 more years

The provinces of Fryslân, Drenthe and Groningen have decided to continue their investments in the Knowledge Network on Population Decline (KKNN) until 2019. The KKNN is a knowledge network of 900 societal stakeholders in the North of the Netherlands. It has been established by our Faculty and the Hanze University of Applied Sciences, at request of the three northern provinces. The North of the Netherlands is a leader in ‘dealing’ with population decline (‘krimp’ or shrinkage). The KKNN plays an important role in sharing and developing knowledge and experiences.

The prolongation of the KKNN will be celebrated during the Knowledge café of Thursday 13 November. Deputy of the province of Groningen Marianne Besselink will offer the first copy of the report ‘Four years KNNN: what has it brought us and how to continue’ to Auke Oosterhoff of MKB (North)Netherlands. The ‘Krimpcafé XL’ of 13 November focuses on how to deal with vacancies in health care real estate. It takes place at the Provinciehuis Groningen, from 13.00 to 17.30.
