Molecular Immunology & Host-microbe Interactions
Welcome to the Department of Molecular Immunology and Host-microbe Interactions of the University of Groningen.
Shared goal of the Department of Molecular Immunology and Host-microbe Interactions is to gain a molecular understanding of the interactions between gut microbes and the human immune system in order to develop improved therapies for diseases of the digestive tract, such as inflammatory bowel disease and colon cancer.
Our department hosts the Membrane Trafficking in Immune Cells Lab of Geert van den Bogaart and the Host Microbe Interactions Lab of Sahar El Aidy.
Our laboratories are located at the University of Groningen, Groningen Biomolecular Sciences and Biotechnology Institute (GBB), Nijenborgh 7 in Groningen, the Netherlands
