Tamer Nawar receives ERC-Starting Grant
With great enthusiasm we report that Tamer Nawar has received an ERC-Starting Grant for a project on "Philosophical conceptions of truth in ancient and medieval philosophy". His project will offer the first focused and systematic examination, spanning both ancient and medieval philosophy, of philosophical conceptions of truth. It will examine the origins, motivations, and challenges faced by conceptions of truth in this period and how these challenges led to the development of alternative theories of truth. In a time sometimes referred to as "post-truth", this sort of research is particularly welcome.
