Jonathan Dancy: Instrumental Reasoning

I consider the strengths and weaknesses of John Broome’s recent account of practical reasoning as instrumental reasoning, and outline more flexible alternative accounts, both of instrumental reasoning and of practical reasoning more generally, which supposedly cover the ground rather better.
