Responsibility and Structure
The Centre is based at the Department of History of Philosophy, in the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Groningen. Although the Centre can include members from other Faculties (both RUG Faculties and from other universities), the responsibility for the support and organization of activities promoted by the Centre remains within the Department of History of Philosophy and fall under the (final) responsibility of the Board of the Faculty of Philosophy.
The Centre is composed as follows:
Members
Members are committed to contribute to the intellectual life of the Centre, by taking part in the events organized, proposing new activities, and cultivating stable and long-term collaborations.
Members of the Centre can include scholars based at the Faculty of Philosophy at Groningen and at other Rug faculties or scholars based at other universities who express willingness to collaborate on a regular basis with the Centre (e.g. with regular exchanges, conference organization or other initiatives).
Graduate students, Phds and post-docs are also welcome to join the Centre and become members.
Scientific committee
The function of the scientific committee is that of facilitating events (if possible) and initiatives suggested by members and (if applicable) deal with any decision that involve financial costs. The scientific committee is responsible for the activities organized and sponsored by the Centre.
The scientific committee always includes scholars based at the Department of History of Philosophy (RUG), including the Department Chair and the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy. One member of the scientific committee is selected as Coordinator of the Centre.
The function of Coordinator is that of collecting initiatives and suggestions from the members, take care of public relations and planning of events. The Coordinator also acts as an interface in outwards communications and as contact person for communications to the Centre.
The current composition of the scientific committee if the following:

- Prof. Lodi Nauta (Dean of the Faculty of Philosopjhy)
- Dr. Andrea Sangiacomo (Coordinator, Department of History of Philosophy)
