The Faculty of Economics and Business in global top for Business Administration
The ShanghaiRanking Consultancy recently announced the Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) 2023 , representing the most comprehensive and objective ranking of world universities by subjects. In this league, the UG’s Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) ranks among the global top in the field of Business Administration (15). In one year, the faculty has risen significantly in the ranks, as last year FEB ranked 31 in the field of Business Administration.
FEB is also doing well in other international rankings. In THE World University Rankings by subject for 2024, the faculty ranks in the top 100 in the field of Economics and Business (52). This is also a significant climb compared to last year, when FEB’s ranking was 73.
Peter Verhoef, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, is happy with these results. “For our faculty it is important that we perform well on these international rankings despite all their limitations. We are pleased to see that FEB is doing well. This is a result of an enduring focus on quality in research and education. We will continue to do so in the coming years.’’
The Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS Shanghai Ranking) is a global ‘Top 500’ ranking that is published annually by ShanghaiRanking Consultancy. The GRAS contains rankings of universities in 55 subjects across Natural Sciences, Enginering, Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, and Social Sciences. More than 1,900 out of 5,000 universities across 104 countries and regions are listed in the rankings. The GRAS rankings use a range of objective academic indicators and third-party data to measure the performance of world universities in respective subjects, including research output, research influence, international collaboration, research quality, and international academic awards.
