New MOOC: Decision making in a complex and uncertain world

Covid'19 shows the enormous challenges that policy makers face in a complex and uncertain world. The University of Groningen offers a MOOC that helps to understand and improve decision making under such circumstances. Based on recent insights in Economic theory, Systems thinking, Sociology, and Biology, learners are trained to use an interdisciplinary perspective on decision making. Moreover, skills in advanced research methods, such as agent-based simulation, are trained in order to support policy makers with scenario analyses.
The MOOC 'Decision making in a complex and uncertain world' is moderated by Professor Economics of Complexity and Uncertainty in Financial Markets and Financial Institutions, Lex Hoogduin. It is freely available on the Future Learn platform and will start on June 1, 2020.
If you enroll, you will enjoy seven weeks of learning alongside thousands of international learners, hence it will offer you a unique opportunity to learn about the current affairs of decision making in countries all over the world. Expected study load per week is about five hours.
