UG opens the Netherlands’ first Physical Internet lab
The University of Groningen has opened the first Physical Internet lab in the Netherlands. The PI lab is a place for businesses, researchers and students to meet up and swap ideas and data. It is an exciting new way of inspiring one another to develop new knowledge in the field of the Physical Internet.
Groningen was the logical location for the Physical Internet lab. Research into this concept has been going on in the Center for Operational Excellence (COPE) for some time now, as part of the ‘Towards virtual ports in a physical internet’ project. In addition, the fifth international Physical Internet conference will take place in Groningen from 18 to 22 June 2018.
