General information
The department of Accounting and Auditing is committed to excellence in education and research. We share our knowledge and new insights with a wide range of regional, national and international organisations. Members of our department bring together expertise from various backgrounds in both science and practice. The core themes of our research and education include audit and assurance, corporate governance, financial reporting and accounting, internal control, and management accounting and control. The focus is not only on financial aspects of the business, but also on data analytics, digitalisation, and sustainability.
The research activities take place in the research programme Accounting. Our research focuses on the use and reliability of financial and non-financial information both within the organisation and outside the organisation. This information is used for various purposes, including decision-making, control, and accountability to internal and external stakeholders.
The department offers various courses in bachelor, master and executive master programmes. The Department also participates in the Research Master programme, a challenging two-year master programme intended for students aiming to do a Ph.D.
