Customized entry package
Are you a student interested in the MSc Marketing, but do you not meet the requirements for direct entry? If you have studied one of the programmes below at the University of Groningen, you can be offered one of the customized Pre-Master packages:

UG BSc Psychology students

UG BSc CIW students
BSc Psychology package 20 EC
The package for BSc Psychology consists of 20 EC; 10 EC courses in marketing and marketing research, and 10 EC relevant general economics & business courses.
BSc CIW package 25 EC
The programme for BSc CIW students is 25 EC, 20 EC is identical to the programme for Psychology students, plus one extra course ‘Behavioral Decision Making’ of 5 ECTS.
For both Psychology and CIW students an introductory course on marketing is not required anymore. If you feel that you lack this knowledge, you can prepare yourselve independently.

Application process
Selective (Pre-)MSc Marketing since September 2023
Starting September 2023, the MSc Marketing and Pre-MSc Marketing is selective.
All students that have passed at least one of the courses of their customized entry package in or before the academic year 2022-2023 do not have to participate in the selection process. As soon as you apply for the Master, you should mail to marketingselection.feb@rug.nl and explain your situation.
Students that start their customized entry package during their non-FEB UG BSc in September 2023 or later do have to participate in the selection process for the Master.
Students that want to do the customized entry package AFTER finishing their non-FEB UG BSc have to apply for the Pre-MSc in Studielink and participate in the selection process for the Pre- Master.
There are two selection processes each year (first application deadline on March 1 and second on October 1).
Note
You are responsible to arrange for a correct registration for the MSc programme in Studielink (including tuition fee payment). For RuG students, the deadline for application in Studielink for the Master programmes is August 1st for September start and January 1st for February start. You also have to register for your courses on time in progress; the deadline for enrolment for courses closes a week before the programme starts.
