What is the FEB Honours Bachelor Programme?

The Honours College at the University of Groningen offers talented and motivated students the opportunity to go beyond their regular studies. The FEB Honours Bachelor Programme (HB-FEB) is an extracurricular programme that runs alongside your regular bachelor's degree in Economics and Business, without additional tuition fees.

What does the programme offer?

The HB-FEB Programme is designed to help students develop critical thinking, interdisciplinary problem-solving, and research skills. It provides an opportunity to deepen your knowledge in economics and business while exploring broader academic and societal topics. The programme consists of an additional 30 ECTS, taken in parallel with your regular studies:

  • 15 ECTS deepening courses (offered by FEB) focusing on advanced topics and research within economics and business.
  • 15 ECTS broadening courses (offered by the Honours College) exploring subjects beyond economics and business to develop interdisciplinary skills.

The programme starts in Semester 2.2 of your first year and continues alongside your regular degree until the end of the third year. Honours activities are scheduled to avoid conflicts with your regular coursework.

Why join the HB-FEB Programme?

This programme is designed for students who want to:

  • Enhance their academic and research skills through small, hands-on classes.
  • Work on interdisciplinary challenges with peers from different backgrounds.
  • Engage in research projects with FEB professors.
  • Prepare for a master's degree or professional career with an edge.
