The Focus Area Healthy Society Explained
In the Focus Area Healthy Society you will learn about the wicked problems that influence healthcare providers and societal partners in their daily practice. These wicked problems have no clear cut solutions and require a multi-disciplinary perspective. Hence, these problems require novel approaches towards the design of how we provide healthcare, and how we think about organizing the healthcare domain. In the courses, you will focus on opportunities for and barriers towards cooperative and organizational models in healthcare that cross care domains. Moreover, you will work on challenges relating to real-life issues, such as scarce human resources combined with a higher, more complex demand for care, and more demanding citizens. As a student, you will think about designing solutions that take into account incentives of different stakeholders and successfully meet healthcare’s quadruple aim of a healthier population, high quality of care for citizens, contained costs, and high quality of working life for healthcare professionals. The Focus Area is typified by a multi-disciplinary approach, that will offer you novel perspectives from various disciplines.
By completing the Focus Area Healthy Society you will obtain specialized knowledge and the skills required to address the wicked problems that influence our healthcare system.
