Business Research and Consultancy

At FEB we offer you the opportunity to engage in several (extra-)curricular courses and activities that give the possibility to combine studying with practical experience. Such activities provide you with a variety of learning opportunities to develop yourself personally and professionally. Elective courses with a practical approach

Business research & consulting

In the Business Research and Consulting course, you will gain practical experience by applying theory to real-world scenarios. Through hands-on consultancy projects, you'll immerse yourself in the consulting process, advising companies on issues like brand awareness and sales strategies. The course bridges academic learning with practical application, allowing you to enhance your skills and provide valuable insights to partner organizations. You'll tackle real managerial problems, conduct company visits, and present your findings directly to company management, preparing you for a career in consulting.

Learning communities

Learning communities offer an opportunity for students to explore a topic of their personal interest or passion in-depth, gain practical skills, or expand their professional network. This extracurricular activity enables you to engage in collaborative projects, which will provide you with a setting in which you are able to develop specific skills such as project, team and self-management, programming, data analysis, tool development, negotiation, public speaking, and networking.

Activities include assignments from external organizations, company visits, interviews, coaching sessions, and informal group meetings. Many learning communities focus on interdisciplinary challenges, with examples including projects with ABN-Amro, Philips, Friesland Campina, Fijn Wonen, RDW, CJIB, and others.

Internships

At FEB, we understand the importance of practical experience in shaping your career path. That's why our study programs offer various opportunities to integrate internships into the curriculum.

Internships offer the opportunity to gain practical experience and get a closer look at a how companies operate, within the Netherlands or abroad. You will be able to find out more about a job, about the organization's culture, and whether it suits you or not. This firsthand experience will help you determine if a particular job or company is the right fit for you.
