International perspective
Benefit from an international learning environment, where you can study alongside students from over 120 countries. Annually, over 6,000 international students come to Groningen from all over the world to pursue one of our 180 internationally recognized English-taught degrees. You don’t need to speak Dutch to live in Groningen. In fact, you will be able to do all the things you’re used to doing in English.
Our university has strong international ties with other universities worldwide. Teaching- and research partnerships mean that many of our programmes offer you the opportunity to follow an exchange programme with one of our partners abroad. It also means that we welcome hundreds of exchange students to Groningen every year. Our Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is Europe’s largest, and organises around 150 activities a year including two introduction weeks for new students.
International Classroom Project
With our international classroom project, we aim to give our students a global perspective by creating inclusive learning environments where students from different cultural backgrounds can share ideas, offer new perspectives and open their minds to the world. While studying with us, you’ll meet students from all over the world and create a global network.
