Welcoming Ceremony new Honours students bachelor programme
On March 30, the Welcoming Ceremony for new undergraduate Honours students took place in the Aula of the Academy Building. This marks the start of the Honours Bachelor programme 2016-2017.
Over 300 students were welcomed during this celebrative evening. After the opening speech by the Dean of the honours College, prof. mr. dr. Hanny Elzinga, guest speaker Ola Mafaalani (artistic director Noord Nederlands Toneel) talked about the choices she made as a student and in her career.
After the speeches, the students choose the name of their cohort by using the mentimeter (on their mobile phones) and voted for 'Einstein'. A group photo was taken on the stairs of the Academy Building. Afterwards, the evening ended with informal drinks where students, staff and coordinators could meet.
