I loved the master programmes offered by the Business Faculty. The RUG was very fast in responding to my application and the overall admissions process was very smooth and fast, compared to other universities I had applied to.
About stuying in Groningen
I loved the master programmes offered by the Business Faculty. And also the RUG was very fast in responding to my application and the overall admissions process was very smooth and fast, compared to other universities I had applied to. The international dimension of the different subjects in the MSc IB&M as well as the focus on research skills are the things I liked most about my programme. The most important skill I took away from my programme was the timely and independent organization of research projects/papers, both individually and in small teams. Also, as we always had to handle several assignments at the same time, I learned to prioritize and manage my time well. Finally, due to all the team work with other students from other countries, I learned to cooperate and work with many different people who brought very different work attitudes and ideas to the team. I am sure that these skills will be very helpful in my work life.
My advice to anyone considering Groningen: Go for it! You will have an amazing time and learn a lot! I did not encounter any language barriers at all. Everybody speaks perfect English and I learned Dutch, which is quite easy for German native speakers!
