Aletta’s Talent Network is looking for a new steering committee

Are you an early career researcher in the field of public health? Would you like to broaden your network, increase your visibility, further develop yourself professionally, and organize inspiring events? Then join Aletta’s Talent Network steering committee!
What is the network about?
Aletta’s Talent Network (ATN) is a network that connects early career researchers in public health (PhD candidates, post-docs and master’s students) and facilitates them in their careers. The network offers opportunities to learn – from senior experts as well as their peers – to exchange knowledge and experiences, and to acquire the skills you need as a public health researcher. For the next academic year we are searching for a new steering committee!
What will you do as a steering committee member?
Being part of the Aletta’s Talent Network steering committee, you are in charge of bringing the junior public health research network members together by organizing events on presenting skills to an interdisciplinary audience, methods sharing, peer feedback or networking and socializing. The Junior Research Meet-up is a great example of one of our past events.
What is in it for you?
By being on the ATN steering committee, you will have the opportunity to increase your visibility, broaden your network to the outside world of UG societal partners, share experiences with and learn from other steering committee members, work with the Aletta Jacobs School of Public Health team, and add experience to your CV. Besides, it is also a fun experience to organize events and build a network together with fellow early career researchers.
Intrigued?
You can apply for the ATN board by sending an email to alettastalents@rug.nl with a short paragraph on your motivation, before 30 June 2024.
Second/third year PhD students or post-docs are specifically suited. However, everyone is welcome to apply!
If you have any questions, also feel free to send us an email. For more information, check the website of Aletta Jacobs School of Public Health and the webpage of Aletta’s Talent Network.
